• I've secured a *very* small quantity of the rare and exquisite Marresi model Eroica cycling shoes. These are the finest "racing" sole shoes in production today. These handmade beauties pair a ran SPD/LOOK/TIME compatible sole with a supple perforated leather upper.

  If the Eroica isn't to your liking, TATI will also be carrying the Bont cycling shoes for 2008. Bont is an Australian company with a long history fabricating speed skating boots. The problems with contemporary clipless pedal shoes are legion, so I won't rehash old grievances here. Nevertheless, I find the design very appealing, albeit in a Gundam kind of way. Most importantly, they shoes sport a stack height under 4mm for optimal power transfer and weigh in under 250g. These are semi-custom shoes. The lasts are bake-to-fit; you can have laces or velcro, with or without a buckle; there are eight colorways; you can even get them in mismatched sizes if, like me, you have wacky mismatched feet. And yes, they do look a little like space age clogs: yay.
