Returning now into the darkness with a steady headwind, jolted by several hundred cheap calories, we sidewalked it back to the path and flipped on the headlights. The north end of the LHP has been under construction for several months now, but the fresh tarmac is looking really nice. Around Belmont, we got the brilliant idea to cut through a muddy patch and test out the new path. I barely made it through the much, but D's brakes seized with clay and mud, and we had to stop for a few minutes, first to clean his bike, and again to clean out my cleats... oh, well.
The bread ride was a breeze compared to this morning's blizzard conditions. I fully expect all the pansy West Coast livin' UCVC folks to return home and join the snowy fun next week, because I really need someone to draft.
