There are a whole range of changes coming to TATI this spring. Most notably is a return to form vis-à-vis chic commuter gear. In the past year, thanks to the move and the launching of a racing team (albeit one clad in wool) -- the focus has shifted a bit towards the performance end of the cycling spectrum. Many manners of practical bits and fashionable duds have been hiding in the storage room. (Did you know that there are several dozen pairs of tailored gabardine dress knickers in stock? That the full range of Busch & Muller lighting is hiding in a big cardboard box?) To the extent that it's possible, I'll try to grey the barriers between Coppi-inspired roadie style and Copenhagen haute-commuter fashion: I'd argue that Shaun Deller's caps fit that bill, as do the upcoming tweed softshell jackets, and a new range of affordable leather saddles.
One category that I've been examining closely is that of helmets.
I'm writing up a much longer story of the journey back towards helmet retail, but in the meanwhile I'll offer this bit of advice: helmet cozies are never OK. So please stop asking me to stock them.
