It snowed on Sunday, and it snowed again this afternoon. And it will probably snow some more later this week. My laptop lives in my satchel, which lives with me when I'm walking or biking around Chicago. And in the name of style & comfort, this bag has for a few years been brown suede. And while my brown suede bag matches most of my wardrobe and is very nice to touch, it's anything but waterproof... which explains, among other things, my ruined mobile... soggy contracts, and occasionally mushy sandwiches.
Everything Ortlieb makes is submersibly waterproof, and as Chicago is about to enter several months of saturated atmosphere, this German superstuff is looking really good.
And so, really, it's not only that many of their finest pieces are coincidentally available in TATI orange. In fact, I generally don't think of orange as a Teutonic hue. Mediterranean, maybe. Basque, for sure. And sure enough, most of Ortlieb's bags are schwarz und more schwarz.
The full line of Ortlieb products are now available at TATI. Here's what I'll be stocking, but you can order anything from the 2009 lineup and receive it in a few days.
